Event Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (Terms) relate to the sale of tickets and attendance at New Zealand Winegrowers (NZW) and/or Bragato Research Institute (BRI​) events (each or both parties, the Organiser). These Terms should be read in conjunction with any other terms that may apply for a particular event.

  1. Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
  2. Any ticket issued is subject to these Terms and may be revoked by the Organiser or venue of the event (Venue) for breach of any of the Terms.
  3. The Organiser reserves the right to amend or change these Terms at any time without notice.

 

Refunds and Exchanges

  1. The Organiser will only refund or exchange a ticket if an event is cancelled or significantly rescheduled or relocated by the Organiser (and you cannot or do not wish to the attend the rescheduled or relocated event, or to the extent otherwise required by the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993). No refund or exchange will be given because of a change in your personal circumstances.
  2. The Organiser will not be liable for any circumstances beyond their control including, but not limited to, earthquake, fire, flood or other natural disaster, accident or pandemic.
  3. The Organiser will not be liable for any costs or other liabilities incurred by you relating to the cancellation, rescheduling or relocation of an event.
  4. Any liability of the Organiser not otherwise excluded shall be limited to the transaction amount originally paid for the ticket. This includes for any refund or exchange.
  5. The Organiser will replace lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed tickets at its sole discretion.

 

Variations to events

  1. The Organiser reserves the right to amend any event in any way, including but not limited to its capacity, arrangement, content, timing and location.

 

Conditions of entry to events

  1. Admission to an event is subject to these Terms and any other terms which may apply, including relating to the Venue.
  2. You may be denied entry into, or removed from, an event where the Organiser or Venue have reasonable grounds to do so, including if you breach these Terms or any other appliable terms and conditions, or for misconduct (or if the Organiser or Venue have reasonable grounds to suspect misconduct). Misconduct includes, but is not limited to, being intoxicated, under the influence of illicit drugs or psychoactive substances, inappropriately attired, behaving in an offensive or disorderly manner or adversely affecting the enjoyment of the event by others.
  3. You must follow all reasonable requests and instructions of the Organiser and/or Venue. This may include a request to undertake a breathalyser.
  4. If you arrive late, you will be admitted to the event at the discretion of the Organiser and/or Venue, which may not be until a suitable break.
  5. Your use of cameras and video recorders (film, digital or otherwise), and all other recording devices may be restricted at the event, at the sole discretion of the Organiser and/or Venue.
  6. The Organiser and/or Venue (or any third party which has been granted such rights by those parties) may photograph or record the Event in any way (the Footage) and use, edit, copy and share the Footage. You acknowledge that you may feature in the Footage and no related compensation will be received. You waive any right to inspect or approve the Footage in any way.
  7. You may be required to submit to a search of your person and/or possessions before entering an event to ensure compliance with these Terms.

Privacy

  • Your personal information may be held by the Organiser and/or Venue. Any personal information that the Organiser holds will be dealt with in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 and with the Organiser's Privacy Policy, which can be accessed at: https://www.nzwine.com/members/privacy-policy/.

 

Health and safety requirements

  • The Organiser and/or Venue may make amendments to any event to comply with New Zealand Government health and safety requirements, at their sole discretion. While attempts will be made to provide as much notice as possible of any changes, this may not always be possible. Refunds and exchanges will be administered in accordance with these Terms.

Additional Conditions for: Wairarapa Auckland Young Viticultrualist Dinner 2024

  • Contestants, their personal family & friends,  NZW members, event sponsors, BRI, regional winegrowing associations, educational institutions and any other direct invitees of NZW are entitled to purchase tickets until exhaustion. Anyone else is limited to two tickets per business/organisation. Purchasing tickets in excess of this allocation will result in cancellation of all tickets for that business/organisation, and no refunds will be given in that situation.
