Following the success of our previous NZW mentoring programmes, we are delighted to launch the 2024 programme which is open to all our members regardless of gender.
The programme aims to support members to increase their confidence, focus on their self-development and further their careers.
Applications for 2024 are now CLOSED
It is open to members working in all roles within our industry including viticulture, winemaking, sales & marketing, cellar door, cellarhand, general management, operations, logistics, laboratory and administration.
See below if you require a login to the NZW Members site.
This is a fantastic opportunity to stretch yourself, plan your next steps and widen your network. Previous mentors and mentees have found these programmes extremely beneficial and enjoyable.
“The interaction and issues raised caused me to reflect on my own career and how I would have benefited from a programme such as this”
MENTOR
“A unique programme which many people in other industries don’t get the opportunity to partake in, I think it is very valuable.”
MENTEE
The programme aims to match one mentee with an experienced mentor from the wine industry preferably within their region. This is subject to the number of applications received and suitable matches available. In regions where there are multiple applicants we hope to match additional pairs, creating the opportunity for more mentor-mentee matches to be made around the country.
The programme includes an induction workshop for both mentors and mentees, facilitated by Fiona Fenwick. These workshops run separately and the compulsory Mentors Workshop will take place on Tuesday 12 November and the Mentees Workshop on Wednesday 13 November in Marlborough. Travel expenses are covered as part of the programme.
The Women in Wine NZ programme will continue to run as a separate programme.
To apply for this programme the organisation you work for needs to be a member of New Zealand Winegrowers.
