Since 2006, thanks to the support of our sponsors and many volunteers, the NZ Young Viticulturist of the Year programme has helped grow future leaders for our industry as well as create a close Young Vit community. Investing in the future has paid off. This year it was time we celebrated how far this competition has come and started looking to the next 15 years.
The celebration consisted of a daytime conference, followed by the Celebration Dinner where we also announced our fifteenth winner following the 2020 National Final being held the day before.
The theme for conference was “Investing in the Future”. As well as looking back over the years, previous winners along with other speakers discussed future challenges and opportunities. The 2020 Young Vit National Finalists also delivered their speeches during the conference. Check out the conference programme HERE.
The celebration dinner and awards ceremony took place at the Martinborough Town Hall.
