The Suggested Wines are optional, there is no tasting component to the examination.
Additionally, the New Zealand Wine Textbook is provided for students who wish to take their learning even further. The textbook contains the fundamental information that is presented in the Learning Modules of the New Zealand Wine Discovery Course, with additional detail on the history of New Zealand's wine industry, soils, climate, subregions, viticultural and winemaking techniques, regional and varietal expression and exports of New Zealand wine.
