New Zealand Winegrowers and Wine Australia have teamed up to run a trade and consumer tasting in Sweden and The Netherlands in 2025.

This collaboration follows a successful New Zealand and Australia trade tasting in the UK in January 2025, and trade and consumer tastings in Sweden in 2023 and 2024.

The event comprises a trade tasting, a masterclass and a consumer tasting evening in Stockholm (29 September) and Amsterdam (1 October). In the tastings and masterclasses, we will showcase New Zealand and Australia’s distinctive terroirs, vibrant winemaking communities and thrilling wines. 

New Zealand Winegrowers and Wine Australia teaming up enables importers to showcase a wider portfolio at one event, and it helps buyers, retailers and sommeliers get the most out of a day away from their business. Guests will travel from across the Nordics and the Netherlands, so it is cost-effective, time-efficient, and offers greater exploration of the southern hemisphere.

The event is a platform for wineries and importers to meet buyers, importers, retailers, sommeliers, media and educators. With direct access to key influencers and decision-makers, the tastings will help you to gain new business leads, secure listings and increase your in-market presence.

Registration is open for New Zealand and Australian wineries, and importers, distributors and agents in Sweden and the Netherlands. Full and half tables are available, and they can feature both New Zealand and Australian wines. Exhibitors can participate in one city or both cities.

We look forward to welcoming New Zealand and Australian winemakers and winery principals to the event. The presence of winemakers and principals really helps to tailor the stories told and drive home the authenticity message.

We recommend one or two members of staff per table, either from the winery or importer, to introduce the wines and talk to guests. For wineries seeking distribution, please ensure that someone from the winery can travel over to staff the table. 

New Zealand Winegrowers and Wine Australia will cover all the organisation, logistics and marketing of the events, so you can focus on the visitors and your wines.

Please note that there is a maximum capacity for participation in this event, which will be secured on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. If capacity is reached, there will be a waiting list. If a winery secures participation through the waiting list (which also be on a ‘first come, first served’ basis), they will be notified by New Zealand Winegrowers/ Wine Australia as soon as reasonably possible and will have three working days to confirm participation.

Register as an exhibitor :

This activity is open to all New Zealand and Australian wineries (those currently in market and looking to export) and importers, distributors and agents in Sweden and the Netherlands. Exhibitors are encouraged to put their best foot forward to show premium wines and new releases from their range.

Wineries who sign up need to remain there for the consumer session. We recommend arriving one hour before the start of the trade tasting to set up and chill wines down, we provide the ice and all tasting equipment.

 

The cost of exhibiting in each city is:

Half table to show up to 6 wines per event

AUS $1025 (ex. GST)

NZD $1130 (ex. GST)

Full table to show up to 12 wines per event

AUS $2050 (ex. GST)

NZD $2260 (ex. GST)

On the form you can select one city or both cities as well as the size and the number of tables that you would like. 

Please register by 30 June 2025. An invoice will be sent to you in August 2025. 

The participation fee does not cover travel, accommodation, samples and freight costs, and wineries are responsible for booking their own flights and hotel.
