Coxs' Vineyard is a second-generation family run vineyard. For 20 years the vineyard operated as a contract grape growing business before Simon and Leah took over and started the new wine label. They opened a tasting room and art gallery that provides a unique, welcoming, and authentic cultural experience. They produce premium single vineyard Gibbston Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris and recently they have planted Chardonnay vines. In 2018 their Takapoto Estate 2014 Gibbston Single Vineyard Pinot Noir won the biggest international wine award - gold trophy for best Pinot Noir in the world at the IWSC in London.

In 2018 we relocated a disused classroom from Takitimu Primary school in Nightcaps, Southland. It has now been lovingly renovated and restored to house our Tasting Room and Gallery.
Here you can taste and purchase our current vintages. You can also view and purchase New Zealand and Pacific heritage pieces from the current exhibition.
