Flaxmore's gentle north-facing slopes in the Moutere hills are perfectly suited to Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Gris. Planted in 2008, this family vineyard has an absolute focus on vineyard quality and launched the Flaxmore label in 2018, crafting wines from low-yielding, hand-picked vines. The combination of clay-gravels, climate and attention to detail has resulted in fine, balanced wines which fully express the vineyard's special character: elegant fruit notes with some restraint on the palate. Visit the cellar door; enjoy stunning views on a walk around the vineyard and experience the fascinating art gallery.

You are welcome to visit our tasting room, which overlooks the vineyard. Here, you will have the chance to meet us, taste our wines, talk about the vineyard and winemaking and even have a beautiful walk around the vineyard, taking in the stunning views across the Moutere valley to the majestic Kahurangi mountain range beyond. We have also recently developed an art gallery, which you can enjoy at your leisure.
