We are situated in the heart of Matakana, a hidden gem of a wine region, less than an hour’s drive north of Auckland. Matakana Coast is a must-visit destination for a holiday in New Zealand, with fine wines, local foods, busy markets and stunning beaches. Matakana Estate is the largest winery in the region, spanning 35 hectares of land. Our boutique-style wines are available to taste at our cellar door.

Open 6 days from Wednesday to Monday, 11am - 4pm, closed Tuesdays. The cellar door offers informative wine tastings and gourmet platters. Wine blending experiences and vineyard tours are available via booking only.

Wine blending experience

Our wine-blending experience will allow you to create your own wine. For those who want to step into the shoes of a winemaker and discover the art of wine blending, this is a hands-on experience that is a lot of fun, customers learn the basics of wine tasting and blending and will get to walk away with a 375ml bottle of their own creation.
