Riverside Wines was established by Ian and Rachel Cadwallader in 1989 and is located in the Dartmoor Valley in the heart of Hawke's Bay.
As original settlers (1851), they were sheep and beef farmers, but in the early 1980’s they began to diversify suitable parts of our property into viticulture.
The property is made up of river flats, terraces and rolling hills. A mixture of soil types range from heavy and light river gravels on the flats, to deep red metal soils on the terraces, and shingle covered clay based areas on the upper terraces.
