Our names, Steve Smith MW and Brian Sheth, are the assurance of a wine that expresses the beauty of a place and the passion of its people. At Smith & Sheth, we’re all about the wine. Nestled in the heart Havelock North, visit our Oenothèque day or night – we have something for all wine lovers. During the daytime hours, our Cellar Door is the place to come and enjoy a flight of CRU wines. Drop in for a personal, seated tasting experience or enjoy a glass of wine and share a platter on the patio. In the evening, settle into our cosy Wine Lounge and discover an ever-changing list of wines by the glass or bottle. In addition to offering our own distinctive family of fine wines, our sommelier hand-selects unique wines from around the globe.

Heretaunga Wine Studio

Truly a one-of-a-kind wine tasting experience, the Heretaunga Wine Studio offers a private, sensory journey exploring major winegrowing regions across New Zealand. Guided by our Sommelier, you will sample limited-production wines from our family of fine wine estates in the North and South Islands. We will awaken the senses through interactive storytelling, tasting a range of wine varietals and styles, drawing select samples from the barrel, and immersing in audio-visual delight in our studio theatre.
