Te Awanga Estate is a family owned wine business. It was borne out of a love of making wine and of the place we call home, Hawke’s Bay.
In 2006 we began searching out great vineyard sites that would eventually supply the grapes to make the great wines of the future.
We have an enduring purpose: to grow, harvest and craft world class wines. And smile while doing it.

Nestled on an elevated site in the Te Awanga foothills, our Cellar Door has views down through 42 acres of vines, across the Te Awanga basin and out to the Pacific Ocean.
Decked out in white and plywood, our Cellar Door, with its sea views and salty air, is reminiscent of a New Zealand summer spent relaxing at the bach (holiday home). Chill, take your time, and taste your way across the full Te Awanga range – Trademark Syrah, Te Awanga Estate, Quarter Acre One Off and Mister.
All day grazing and wine tastings, fabulous photos by Richard Brimer and once a month during summer, we hold the Sunday Sessions with live music from local artists on our front lawn. Or down-tools and stay a while in our Coastal Vineyard Apartment.
