The Landing is a small vineyard located on a coastal site on the tip of the Purerua Peninsula in the Bay of Islands. Long summers and a sea breeze make for superb growing conditions. First planted in 2007 with Chardonnay and Syrah,more recent expansion includes a number of other varieties - Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Merlot, Pinot Gris, Montepulciano and Sangiovese. Our new state of the art winery and tasting room are now open for visits by appointment.
Visit
Set off from either Paihia, Waitangi or Russell wharf on The Landing's private boat for a trip across the Bay of Islands to beautiful Wairoa Bay. You will be met at our private jetty and given a tour through our spectacular vineyard on your way to our new winery and tasting room. Following a guided tasting of The Landing wines, enjoy a platter or two course lunch before returning to our jetty and a cruise back across the bay. Bookings are essential.
