This is a fantastic opportunity to stretch yourself, plan your next steps and widen your network. Previous mentors and mentees have found these programmes extremely beneficial and enjoyable.

“I always get benefit out of Mentoring for my own personal development and also the satisfaction of seeing someone develop throughout the sessions and understand their potential.”

Lesley Boon, MENTOR

“I have definitely gained more confidence in my ability as well as now knowing that you cannot please everyone and confronting conflict isn’t always a bad thing.”

Ben Richards, MENTEE

The programme aims to match one mentee with an experienced mentor from the wine industry preferably within their region. This is subject to the number of applications received and suitable matches available. In regions where there are multiple applicants we hope to match additional pairs, creating the opportunity for more mentor-mentee matches to be made around the country.

The programme includes an induction workshop for both mentors and mentees, facilitated by Fiona Fenwick. These workshops run separately and the compulsory Mentors Workshop will take place on Tuesday 28 November and the Mentees Workshop on Wednesday 29 November in Marlborough. Travel expenses are covered as part of the programme.

Scholarships are available for this programme, thanks to the support of Klima.

The Women in Wine NZ programme will continue to run as a separate programme.

To apply for this programme the organisation you work for needs to be a member of New Zealand Winegrowers.
