In 2021, Jules and George decided to implement a four day work week, offering their team increased time for exercise, relaxation or family. This improved work-life balance has been great for the team's mental health and wellbeing. The practice of a four day work week was pioneered by NZ's largest trustee company Perpetual Guardian, with research proving that a four day work week maintained performance, reduced stress and increased team engagment. A recent article in the NZ national news publication 1News, citing Kantar research, estimated that around 50 NZ companies practice a four day work week. As far as we know, Jules Taylor WInes is the only NZ wine business to be formally operating this policy and we are proud to be part of the movement!
