Map Maker wines are produced from the Staete Landt vineyard on the old riverbed soils of Rapaura, Marlborough. The vineyard is divided in 18 different watering blocks and has won the Marlborough District Environment award for its use of the scarce resource water. Furthermore the vineyard has been sustainable since 2005, we compost under vines, we plant wild flowers in between rows. The headlands don't get sprayed by Council but mowed by us. We strongly believe the way into the future for NZ Winegrowing is in sustainable growing and producing wine.
