Our vineyard in the upper Awatere was established in 1992 by a vigneron who was more sensitive than many to retaining native plantings. Thus we have numerous groves of picturesque native trees within the vineyard and one of the larger natural wetlands remaining in the Awatere valley.
We have started a restoration program for these wetlands and over time will be removing non-natives and planting new areas around existing ponds.
