The international headquarters for Tongue in Groove is The Food Farm in the heart of the Waipara Valley. It's here that 'The Tongue' and 'The Vine Tender' live with their family. It's an organic property, based on permaculture design and provides them with enough food to be reasonably self-sufficient. The menagerie includes a milking cow (Twiggy), ducks, hens, sheep, pigs and even NZ White rabbits bred for meat. They also produce all of their own fruit and vegetables. They venture into the environment surrounding the North Canterbury vineyards as well to forage a wide range of food throughout the seasons.
